Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 July 2026 · Effective: 6 July 2026
The short version: Sopravo processes your meetings entirely on your iPhone. Your audio recordings, transcripts, summaries and action items are never uploaded to us, and there is no account to create. The only data that ever touches a network is anonymous, content-free app diagnostics and your App Store purchase status — described in full below.
1. Who we are
Sopravo (“Sopravo”, “we”, “us”) is an on-device meeting-notes app for iPhone, provided by Berkay Turk, a sole trader (entrepreneur individuel) trading as “BRT APPS”, registered in France under SIREN 103 051 652, at 2ème étage, 370 rue Centrale, 01200 Valserhône, France. For any privacy question, contact us at privacy@sopravo.app. Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, Berkay Turk is the data controller for the limited data described in this policy.
2. Your meeting content stays on your device
Everything Sopravo produces from your meetings — the audio recording, the transcript, speaker separation, the summary and the action items — is created and stored on your iPhone. Recording, transcription and summarisation all run locally using Apple’s on-device speech and language models. We do not operate a server that receives, stores or processes this content, and we cannot see it.
Optional iCloud backup
If you enable backup, your content is synced through your own private iCloud account using Apple’s CloudKit private database. This stays within your Apple account under Apple’s terms; we have no access to it. You can turn backup off at any time in the app and in your iOS iCloud settings.
3. Data that does involve a network
In the interest of full honesty, these limited, content-free exceptions are the only things that leave the device:
a. Anonymous product analytics
To understand how the app is used and improve it, we collect anonymous, aggregated usage events (for example: a screen was opened, a recording was started, an export was made) through PostHog, hosted in the EU. These events never contain your meeting content, transcripts, summaries, audio, names or any personal identifier. They are not linked to your identity. You can opt out of analytics in the app’s settings.
b. Crash and error diagnostics
To fix bugs, technical crash and error reports are sent to Sentry. Personally identifying information is disabled; these reports contain technical diagnostics (such as the type of error and device model), not your meeting content.
c. Purchases and subscriptions
Payments are handled entirely by Apple’s App Store — we never see or receive your card or payment details. To manage your subscription status and trial, we use RevenueCat, which processes a pseudonymous purchase identifier and your subscription state. This does not include your meeting content.
d. Anonymous lifetime-offer counter
The limited “founder” lifetime offer shows how many places remain. This is served by a small Cloudflare Worker that stores only a single anonymous number (total lifetime purchases). It receives no user data and does not identify you.
4. Device permissions
- Microphone — required to record meetings. Audio is captured locally and processed on the device.
- Notifications (optional) — used only for on-device reminders and recording status, if you allow them.
You can change these permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
5. Legal bases (GDPR)
Where GDPR applies, we rely on: your consent for optional analytics; our legitimate interest in fixing crashes and securing the app; and the performance of a contract for managing your subscription. Your meeting content is not processed by us at all.
6. Retention and deletion
Because your content lives on your device (and, if enabled, your own iCloud), you control it:
- Delete individual recordings and their transcripts/summaries inside the app.
- Delete the app to remove its on-device data; remove backups from your iCloud storage in iOS Settings.
- Anonymous analytics events are aggregated and not linked to you; opting out stops future collection.
To request deletion of the limited purchase data held by our processors, or to exercise any right below, contact privacy@sopravo.app.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location (including under the EU/UK GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. Because we hold no meeting content and no account, most of these apply only to the limited purchase and diagnostic data described above. Contact privacy@sopravo.app and we will respond within the time the law requires. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
8. Third-party services
The processors named above operate under their own privacy policies: Apple (App Store, iCloud), RevenueCat, PostHog, Sentry, and Cloudflare. We share no meeting content with any of them.
9. Children
Sopravo is a professional tool and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. International use
Your meeting content does not leave your device, so it is not transferred internationally by us. The limited processor data above may be processed in the EU or other regions under appropriate safeguards.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for material changes, note it in the app or on this page.
